Youth Against War and Racism now has members in over a dozen schools across the Twin Cities region.

On November 2, 2005 we organized an enormous walkout, with over 2,000 students from over 40 schools in 16 districts participating. Our walkout was the top local story in most metro TV stations and newspapers.

YAWR activists in Bloomington Kennedy, South High, and Mound Westonka High have achieved small victories, forcing recruiters to retreat from crowded lunchrooms into 'career centers.'

We are a youth led network. We encourage groups to hold weekly meetings, to plan out their own activities, and to come together on a metro-wide basis for common actions and projects. Get in touch with us today to start a chapter at your school!
